This CD is not only mine work. It would not exist without the efforts, resources and the good will of many people, who had perceived in the ideas of the free software something much more valuable than the loss of their time and eventually missed interests. Therefore I would like to express my honest gratitude to:
- Richard Stallman, one of the founders of the movement for free software and author of the GPL license. Although on the first sight the license may look a bit limiting in certain respects, all the restrictions in it are added only to return the freedom to those, to whom it belongs by default - to developers, to users and to community
- all known and unknown developers of free and open source software, devoting their time and efforts to create and improve some of the many free programs; giving others the right to use and study these programs by publishing their source code under free or open license
- all translators, making available all these programs on our native language
- the website linux-bg.org, that was and still is for me a wide open door to the world of free software and exponent of the ideas that free software proclaims. Hearty gratitude personally to Slavei Karadjov, who supported me for the first version of this CD.
- Stefan Ascher, who was the first from whom I have understood what free software is and who had shown me what a delight could be to participate in its development
- Teodor Yonchev, headmaster of our high school, for his liberality and his open for the new things spirit and also for his permission to install and check this CD in our school
- Stefana Petrova, teacher in the same school, and Petia, who helped me in translation of this CD and website to English
- the network Internet, search engine Google and the browser Firefox, bringing the answer of every question a few clicks away
- my wife, who supports me in everything
- ... and everyone else, who directly or indirectly helped in creating of this CD.
When you are installing and using some of the programs on the CD, please don't forget that you have this opportunity due to each of them. And if you are satisfied with the programs and wish somehow to express your gratitude, do what they did - give this CD with free programs to your friends, participate in the development or translation of some open source project, or support it with a small amount of money or in any other way, which you consider appropriate. Free software exists thanks to you and me, and our wish is that it would be in advantage for everyone.
