GCompris
GCompris is a set of educational programs, used by children from 2 to 10 years to practise on computer many different activities. Some of them are in the form of games, but always with educational effect. They could be united in the following categories:
- discovering the computer: keyboard, mouse, different actions with the mouse, ...
- algebra: counting and recognizing the numbers, gathering, deduction, multiplication, division, ...
- science: the cycle of water, submarine, floodgates...
- geography: where is situated a certain country on the map
- games: chess, games for remembering ...
- reading: reading exercises
- others: identifying the clock, puzzle from famous pictures, vector drawing ...
All in all more than 100 activities and all the time new are added. All the menus and help information is translated to many languages. The program is easy for adjustment and extension, so that it could be adapted to your specific needs.
